I have been using BSNL prepaid since 2 years..but this is the first time I am writing a review.
Well to begin I must tell you that I’m using mobile since past 3-4 years and I have used airtel escotel bpl ideas reliance..some I tried (for 1-2 months)while I was using bsnl
I feel BSNL is the best.
If we list down our expectations ..our requirements are very low.
We don’t want hi-fi abilities..like wap browsing, mms, latest downloads, conferencing and free sms etc etc
Most of us (at least me , my friends, my family, my colleagues) want basic and cheapest, reliable talking...
pros
The rate at which bsnl gives calling facility is very attractive..the thing which we have to convey can be done cheaper by making a call(as low as 90 p) celll to cell (outside circle) is cheapest 2/- to landline 2.4.
People who are making monthly bill 1k to 2k should definitely go for bsnl prepaid others can think of post paid plans.
Now roaming has been excellent and also cheapest I am having roaming in entire south central india with mumbai and delhi.
Believe me while roaming also my bill is normal
My fingers ache while typing sms (that too most of the sms are some jokes, wishes etc etc)...better I call
It is very reliable...no stoppage of service
Hutch may be advertising whereever you go, but I realised that ad in my prepaid connection.
Unlike other private providers you don’t get surprise in billings
Currently best buy is 2200 /- card where u get talktime of 2000 ...wonderful
Cons
I feel, nothing ..except that some x-gen stuffs like latest downloads free sms etc is not there
