Hi friends, I am a regular user of Excel in Gujarat, Baroda. I am using it since it started.
As per my experience, since 2002, BSNL has excellent coverage all over gujarat including all rural areas.
It is Excellent !! But, BSNL is not marketing its Unique selling Point (USP) of having wide coverage all over india including Andaman & Nicobar.
Though now a days, BSNL has become more aggressive in advertising but still something is lacking. Other operators does marketing & advertising that ’’where ever u’’ & ’’wherever you go our network follows’’ but it is truly belongs only to BSNL.
When BSNL starts mobile service, there was no roaming facility across zones. But BSNL (EXCEL) has national roaming facility preactivated without any extra charges. And now incoming calls are slashed further to lowest while roaming in the country.
It is fabulous. U can roam in entire India without worry about the heavy roaming charges that are charged by other providers. Also, now cellone has started its GPRS, WAP & MMS services. GPRS data transfer speed is very fast compare to other operators. Believe me, I have personally checked this on my friend’s mobiles. It’s just Superb. Having cutting edge mobile has no sense, if you dont have fast GPRS & WAP facility. I am trully blessed that I have make right chioce of BSNL. I am daily using internet through Opera Web Browser. Opera along with BSNL GPRS gives me the complete experience of web surfing on phone with unbelievable cheap cost. GPRS users go to https://operamini.com through your WAP enabled phone and download the mobile web browser. But beware, if you dont have the BSNL connection, then this browsing of net on phone can be too costly for you. Prepaid card can drain within a day if your using AIRTEL, HUTCH OR IDEA.
Voice quality is very good all the time. BSNL does not make us fool with so many so called beneficiary skims. There are no fluctuations in its rates and those rates are very low compared to other providers. BSNL is giving tough competition to HUTCH, RELIANCE and AIRTEL.
One good thing about BSNL is unlike other government companies, it improves very very fast. It upgrades quickly. Bsnl is improving very fast in all aspects to increase their customer base. Even their customer care service is also very useful. Everytime & anytime they will provide a good help. I highly recommended excel & cellone who wants good service in cheap rates. I never had even a single thought to change Bsnl. It’s really good. Believe Me. Thank you all, Enjoy mobile telephony
Now, I am going to move to Pune in june 2007. There also I will only & only opt BSNL. I Trust only BSNL. "BSNL - Sahi hai mere liye aur aap sab ke liye!!! "
