There is NO SMS service from / to Overseas mobile phones.
i.e, We can not receive or send SMS messages to out side India. This is a major draw back of BSNL Cellphone services.
But most of the other cell phone operators are providing this with international SMS service. Also SMS Charges are high . It is ONE rupee per SMS. In BPL it is only 50 paise.
BSNL must change this SMS policy and reduce the SMS rate to attract more customers. Most of the people who have relatives and friends outside India are not opting for BSNL CELLPHONE SERVICE due to this reason.
