My father is a government employee and he uses BSNL because of its free roaming facility. He has to travel every month to another city and free roaming helps him very much but nothing more than that is good in BSNL. Poor network coverage and packages are also not at affordable price. Customer support is also very poor you have to wait around 30 minutes to ask a simple question about the plan.If you will talk on a number more than 10 minutes the call will automatically disconnect.
Recenlty I was booking a tatkal train ticket on IRCTC website using my father debit card and it needs an OTP to validate the transaction but the OTP came after 10 minutes on my BSNL and I lost the chance to book the ticket. BSNL has launched a student plan on new prepaid connections but I will not suggest any one to take that because they are making fool of us. Use BSNL at your own risk.
