BSNL Dataone home 500 combo plan

I got my bsnl dataone connection 45 days back and got my first bill. Everything is fine till now and I prefered this service because back in kerala my father is using same service for last 2 years.

well speed is really good, I am using tata broadband connection (unlimited plan) in my office, I feel bsnl is faster than that. free !.5 Gb / month (Download +upload) is sufficient for regular user, . Night 0200 to morning 0800 is free (not metered) so I wake up at 0215 and put some torrents for downloading. As of now i’m a satisfied customer, Only twice I faced a down time. First one was for 14 hrs and second one is today frequent link failure for 2 - 5 minutes every 90 minutes.

I’ll come back to edit my post after completing 3 months. I applied on jan 27 and got my phone in 3 days, after that I applied for broadband on next day It took 2 months for my connection (reason they reached their limit and is under expansion) I am using vuze as my torrent downloader and RS Somnifero V 2.7 as timer. That is I set RS Somnifero to start Vuze at 0215 hrs and I leaves the computer and net connection on. Now i’m downloadin all the movies and audio books

Now almost 6 months passed and I am absolutely comfortable with dataone. two of my bills were almost double my expectation, but I don’t see any foul play as i’m a heavy downloader especially movies. I recommend you all who r using bsnl broadband to install a good firewall zone alarm or comodo, and let only essential services to access internet so your all installed products and windows will not keep downloading updates. most of the people complaining about bsnl being charging them more is not aware their softwares are downloading all these stuff and eating up the bandwidth. watching youtube or uploading big size photos also can use all the bandwidths. I used rconnect of my friend and in office iam using an overpriced tata broadband but BSNL is the fastest and cheapest
