Unless all you want to do is see your emails, the 1GB limit is too less.
For computer professionals the cost above the 1GB limit is a total ripoff!
For an extra 1.5GB the bill comes to a huge Rs.3000. I think dialup is way better!!
It may be slow but it lets me get my required amount of data transfer with a much lower cost.
I am guessing that everyone who took broadband and got their bills for this month are in a total shock! People went for broadband to reduce the phone bill in the first place and all that has happened is a massive increase in the bill.
Yes, broadband may offer faster speed - although 256KBPS on copper wires is just not possible - and no one is getting that (be under no illusion) - It does not really matter how fast my net is if I cant get my required amount of data transfer under a reasonable cost, there is no real point of broad band.
There has been a big miscommunication and void of information from BSNLs part. The customer care people hardly know anything and are never able to help. Its funny that BSNL thinks that all its users are computer experts and leave it to them to figure out the technicalities.
