Well as the title suggests EVDO is surely not broadband..broadband means CONSTANT speed..something u can start and forget abt mainatining..
With evdo u gotta reconnect or check every 2 hours..In bangalore I used it for 3 months..and yes it is capable of reaching 2mbps but if it’s 2mbps 30 seconds a day and 120 kbps rest of the day it’s surely not broadband, p2p are better bt torrents are slowest, diret links are around 15kBps dpwnload speed, upload almost imposible as it has severe disconnections, with evdo putting it 24x7 u can download 1 gB a day.
But considering everything it’s better to take a 128 kbps STABLE CONSISTENT wired connection, don’t expect any help from helpline, in short it’s exactly like gprs except that it has 2mbps capability although doesn’t stay fr long, , yes you can download 30gB a month but will u be sitting at home helping it reconnect and restart the downloads all day?the choice is yours-----all in all someone looking for a BROADBAND should not take it at all
