This is viren from surat. purchased BSNL ev-do ac8700 800m on 21st Feb, 2012. I was having BSNL NIC card before and also using DOCOMO in Nokia e-5 with pc for internet.
First I called on a number given by bsnl staff. a person came to my home with the card to check the connectivity, and it was working fine. then I purchased it.
when I connected first time, it was giving me speed around 80-100 KB/s(kilobytes not bits) in IDM, I was not so satisfied with it. then I started to setup evdo properly.
Finally I closed the antenna and kept the card on my monitor at a fixed place and it works perfect.
I am getting 200+ KB/s all time. around 1.8 mbps.
Its quite obvious that this is wireless internet so one cannot get the claimed speed i.e.2.4 mbps.(300 KB/s)
because of bsnl cdma tower connectivity.
Its quite surprising for me that I am getting speed irrespective of tower connectivity that shows in ZTE wireless terminal software.
In fact when I close antenna, it gets better.
I feel that I am one of the happiest evdo customers.
i can download 700 MB in Max one hour.
All you need to do is just setup ur evdo card properly by keeping download continue so that you will be able to know at what place the speed is more.
