I believe there is no better data plan for750 bucks than bsnl evdo. Evdo’s connectivity depends on signal strength and if u get 3 bars like me u may consider urself very lucky, speed also depends on server load dat means more active evdo users in ur area lesser speed and connectivity u will get. My review:* it took two days to get my evdo started as i had to get my data plan changed from cdma1x to evdo on first day and get the modem reprogrammed for evdo compatibility second day at local wll exchange.* i get 2-3 bars of signal on ground floor and 3-4 bars on first floor.
I constantly get 50kbps-70kbps on ground floor 9 outta 10 days and never got below 30kbps while downloading mp3s and software from private sites. Now get ready to be shocked, on first floor i get around 200 kbps most of the days quite regularly and hardly get below 150kbps and i cant remember last time when i got below 100kbps while downloading the same above. While downloading torrent files speed depends on seed/leech ratio and considering equal and good no. Of seeders and lechers i get 70-125 kbps quite easly but it drops quite low if seed/leech ratio is small. (last month i’ve downloaded 11.8 gb from torrents and uploaded 1677 mb with i having limited uploading speed to 5 kbps) in past 3 months 4 days my evdo has been out of service which is justifiable as evdo is still under testing phase. I’ve little problem with browsing speed, webpage takes little time (2-4 secs.) Before starting to load and browsing speed is around 300-450 kbps.
I am not a gamer so i cant tell you about that experience.
