Thanks to all reviews in here, I bought BSNL EVDO PCMCIA card yesterday, hoping that at least if not 2.4 Mbps I’ll get around 700-800kbps of speed with download speed upto at least around 100kbps.
However, after bringing it to Home, I tried connecting, it said No Signal. I thought, maybe, it’s not yet activated. But later on when I took my laptop to the roof top, I found EVDO signal(4 bars). I was happy. Immediately I checked the speed at Speedtest.net, I found its, somewhat around 100kbps.(0.09mbps).
Then I went back to Home, but alas, still no signal!:( I’m thinking now, did I pay so much just to get 100kbps spped that too coming to my roof top? I live hardly 200 mts from the BSNL tower in BTM 1st Stage of Bangalore.
My suggestion, please don’t go for this.
