Well..First up...T best thing has to be ..its wireless. I mean..tas HAS to be cool! Aright, I initially had the unlimited 256kbps plan. That worked like a charm- barring t "once in a bluemoon" problem.But, then I got a job an moved here, an I realizd I cudnt go on witout an internet connection. So I started scouting for the best...One thing led to another and presto//......i landed on Bsnls EvDo
I applied fer it ...and to my UTTER DISBELIEF...i got it within 15 minutes. I mean, since when did bsnl get so punctual.( The earlier connection I told ya about...t 256 kbps one...that took me a year and a half to get!!..an im not exaggerating!) Anyway..i went home ..excited ...installed it all. Wasntoo hard..an I must say, the device looked verry snazzy!!!
I began using it, an found out it was slower tan snail. Aight...dont panic...i changed the port, an I found a lotta relief. GOt better. but still nowhere near as the said speed of "UPTO 2MbPS"I call quality( I call my folks pretty often on t net) is absolutely terrible! But I somehow gotta adjust! I started moving around wit it in my room. Got upto 400kbps at some places(though not consistently)
Then I moved onto the terrace- there I almos got 700kbps. Think t tas t most by far. Now ppl, the thing is, this is somethin new. It depends on range(EvDO range)..an hence towers. Until an unless there are a good number of towers up an about, ur not gonna get a good speed. So u gotta have patience.
Now another thing, if ur anywhere near the city, ull get a pretty decent speed im sure. Theres no download limit for this.i luv it bcos of this. Using Utorrent I can get speeds upto 30-35kbps...aint bad....but not satisfactory considering im payin 880 bucks er this deaL!!
BUt I wudnt this was too bad....some of the other ISP providerscharge cut throat rates, and compared to them BSNL is absolutely gold. Reliance, TATA , etc, etc..promise awesome speed an stuff..but after we spend upto 4k’s on t stuff, they may tell us that e dont have proper range in our place, an we may haveto wait fer towers t come up!...
Thats another plus point of bsnl, they prtty much have range everywhere. But Evdo range is jus bulding up everywhere , so it’ll be there in a while, . An remember, speeds can go upto 2 mbps, so thrs always a cushion of improvement.
An one more thing, u can take it anywhere within t state an use it at no extra cost.
While I wudnt recommend this device to ppl who require rocket speed downloads, I wud definitely recommend it t ppl who want decent portable speeds at a decent rate an at an economical cost
