I have not had any problems with this portable hard drive. I do wish the USB cord was longer, but it’s not a huge deal. This seems fast enough(though obviously not SSD-fast) and very reliable. I have had some issues with access permissions but it seems to have been a Mac problem versus a MiniStation problem. Rebooting fixed it. I am very glad I purchased this.
This is an extremely quite device, which surprised me. I really can’t hear it running at all, only occasionally when I am transferring a lot of files at once do I hear the tiniest noise from it. This was a worth-while investment at a wonderful price!

This drive still functions as if it were brand new. I have not yet had any problems with it as far as quality and reliability. I am likely to continue purchasing backup drives from BUFFALO in the future and recommending them to family and friends.
