It is one of those old legacy restaurants of Chennai, probably in those old days when Chennai was called Madras, it was established.
One of the early restaurants of Chennai. It serves biriyani at it`s best but mutton the best. Chicken fry also a another important thing to order there. It`s a south Indian restaurant & probably a decent in chettinadu style cooking.
The ambiance is good but is very crowded & poorly managed.
Even, if you have booking, you would need to wait at least 20 minutes for your chance to enter. The service was not responsive enough and we spent a considerable amount of time looking for the waiter to help us out after every course.
The soup was a let down though and could have been better. The crispy chicken option ordered was tasty but could have done better with a dab of the paper napkin as it was oozing oil when brought to the table.
