Building Your Web site ( Rohit Malhotra )

Depending on the level of safistication you want and the moolah you are ready to invest. it isn’t very difficult to get a website online.

First things first you need some space on the web there are plenty of places where free space is available but then there is always a catch. some impose thier pop ups ads . Some don’t let you use* FTP* some will not let you use* CGI* or frontpage. hence it isn’t a bad idea investing in a domain name and some web space . all in all for a beginner 5mb on a windows server unix and linux servers are a little difficult to set up. is more than sufficient all in all it comes to under Rs1000/- a year but it is worth the experience

Now next comes the code:

The simplest way to go about it is using front page or any other wyswig editor like dreamweaver. with windows you could edit your web site directly on the net.once your website is made you need to publish it. all this is fine if you do not need any thing fancy on your website.

If you want to make it more fundy then you got to study some code . simple programmimg can get you started with making your first server side programs, which you can upload in a jiffy . getting them to work is another thing . if you are not the one for coding, plenty sites are available who give served scripts, for free.

Thats all folks,

The thing is to make it, and you can do it, so happy building!
