The moment I heard Bulla ki jaana I fell in love with the song.
The music Rabbi Shergil produces is beautiful and timeless, in this time of remix and utterly stupid Bhangra numbers his music can make a person feel nostalgic, ecstatic, anxiuos and a lot more.
Shedding all pretentious crap, Rabbi sings with the heart and soul, even if you dont understand what he is saying, the music is simply outstanding.
The album starts off with Bulla ki jaana, a song of self searching and exploration.
Next is Tere bin which seems to be a wedding song.
Really amazing songs are Ek geet hijar da and Ishtihaar, I listened to these songs nearly a hundred times by now.
A really philoosophical song is Jugni, about a girl visiting different parts of india and abroad, seeing and hearing different things.
Heer is a song which starts with a woman singing in a distraught voice followed by a high paced well sunng number.
Ajj nachna is the only song in this album which may resemble a hindi film song or other pop singers, but with the Rabbi edge.
Gil te guitar and Sone totteya are also really good songs.
One thing to look out for in the album is the good use of guitar, and also long notes, very amazing.
The only con is that there are only 9 songs so that after an hour and a half the album ends and youre left craving for more.
If you havent bought it yet then please do, dont deny yourself the art that is Rabbi.
