Nothing compares a bullet!!

Hi friends!

today I chose to go few years back when a bike was a thing of fascination for us in college and then first few years of working when bike was the thing we could afford!

we have listened the ear thumping beats since child hood and how much we loved it! a cult it is!when I started my advertising career! I was fortunate enough to work for few years on this brand! and the more I knew it the more I loved.believe me working on this account was passionate enough to bring out new ideas everyday! that was 1997 and in the year 2007 I still love the brand! ultimate it is! I believe if one has the ability to keep masterpieces- he deserves nothing else than a bullet!

but folks I always missed a chance to own a bullet! I planned to buy it from my own money.no parent’s help you see! cause I always believe a man should be self made! and everything he does should be done out of his hard work. so as I worked on this brand I did expect some bargains at dealer point but alas! there wasn’t any previleges for me I had to go through all those rigourous paper work as I opted for finance and bullet people are quit strict about it!

considering the total cost of the bike the initial downpayment was on higher side too! somewhat away from my budget.where as other bike brands were offering heavy bonanzas and lower downpayments, bullet was strict on terms and conditions. there was nothing like sort of " sirf 999/- per month" or " 0 downpayment schemes" the flashy ads the other bike companies display.

so folks I have to settle for "SUZUKI showgun" as company offered me- pay just 5000/- and rest in easy EMIs. mind you here is the catch a brand can also lure customers with fabulous offers attached! and I fell for the same!

few years back when I bought a bike for my bro! I again did turn to bullet people assuming that in this consumer world may be they have turned a bit linient and have added some great finance options on this brand.but dear sir the dealer still did not budge.as if selling a bike was not a necessity for him( I understand the fan following it has but still why this company prefers to keep its eyes shut from the current trend in the market!) and believe me I have gone inside the offices of royal enfiled and have seen how much the company is worried about lower percentage of sales! but they never bothered to take any initiative till date! believe  me you this company still works as a Govt. Dept. thier only saving grace is- bullet sells itself and this is a reverred brand. but folks you check the margin of profit level compared to hero honda, tvs and bajaj- bullet is at lowest! one fine day when the thumps and pumps of bullet is no more a thing of worship.guess wat this company shall do?

in nut shell I want to put that however good a brand is- it needs some thrust and pull factor to keep afloat in this competitive world! believe me you! this is a company which does not believe in active media space- bullet ke ads kabhi kabhi hi dikhate hain! I understand bikta hai per kab tak?

yes bullet people score a lot in wooing and pampering existing bullet owners by organising rallies and night outs and rider mania.which can be compared to harley culture worlwide!

but is this the case with bullet- I went to one of the rallies organized by the company- people came in good numbers but the maximum of them were spoilt kids of richs, goons and jaats and gujjars those who have easy or say extra flow of money to own a bullet and they were somewhat we can call outlaws! kilos of muscles on chest and arms.wierd mostaches, shaved heads, tattoos! somewhat scary.good going folks I understand this is the trend in the bikers world!

but but but! the question still stands when do I see a young executive with nice shirt and fine tie riding a bullet to his early morning meating with pride! I guess there are some but very rare! when will bullet think of tapping this market? when will it rise to the fact that this is the world where many compromises are done on choices due to availibilty of hard cash and people have to settle for bajaj, tvs and hero hondas just because of offers available at the time of purchase! which are pocket friendly!

wat say folks?
