The mean machine

I first owned a bullet Enfield, 1960’s model. I had it for about 1 1/2 years. I t was amazing, experience. I had a lot of my friends inspired by it and one of my friends bought a new Machismo. He didnt want to start learning on a new one so I had it with me for the first 2 month.

There is simply no comparision between a bullet machismo and a royal enfield. Do not be in the illusion that you will have the same experience. the weight has decreased and the milage up but the ride is no where close to the royal.

Its good to ride on a light bullet but not fun after a royal. I would recommend anyone to go for a second hand royal which would cost anything between 15, 000/- to 20, 000/- but trust me the old ones will serve you better and have got lesser maintainance as well. you can work out the milage with a good trained mechanic who will adjust a new carbeurator on to it and you will be amazed at how the milage doubles or even triples like mine. My royal enfield gave me 18kmpl when I got it, I got the carbeurator changed and it then gave me 56kmpl!!! isnt it amazing. I got it for 12, 000/- and spent about 5, 000/- on carbe. and paint and used it for 1 1/2 yrs and sold it for 25, 000/- cos of the milage and maintainance!

The machismo gave a max of 38kmpl.

I would recommend a 2nd hand Royal enfield whose model is older than 1980’s. They are amazing. Even the sound, machismo has a much softer burst, you can get the silencer changed but you wont get the real bullet sound.

So choice is yours. My friend sold his in a year and bought a second hand royal!
