Macho machismo

Since time ’’immemorial’’, I always wanted to be a proud Enfield owner. Now I am. I got this Machismo A350 (the older version) in Jan 2003 (a second hand 2000 model bike). Since then, I have clocked abt 24000 kms. I have done almost all sorts of things on my bike, except wheelie which I guess is not possible in enfields......though I have tried doing it :). have often been on long tours. done the toughest terrain -Delhi-Leh-Khardungla. frequently touched 110kph......and believe me, once crossed 120 kph(road was slightly downhill).... and I haven’t had any problems till date (except some instances of flat tyres :-)). the bike has been very trustworthy. the comfort levels are great. I can ride this bike all day long. the main drawback of this bike seems to be the clattering. even now, once I cross 70-80 kph, the clattering’s back. the front brake lacks bite (the older machismo has drum brakes). although it is an insult to the bike talking about its mileage, outside cities, the bike has been giving an average of 40+. but in Blore, the average comes down to around 30-32. once it even came down to 25, though I admit that I rode really rash that time.
