Yashraj banner, Shaad alis (saathiya fame) direction, aditya chopras screen play and abhishekh, rani, amitabh starrer BUNTY AUR BABLI did make a recipe for an interesting movie.
I too was drawn towards all the hype and promos and especially reviews in all leading newspapers and website, decided to watch the movie in cinema hall with my family. The movie started well thereby raising my expectations like all other yashraj films, but, sadly like other average films I was literally waiting for the climax so that I can push off for home and have a nice nap as I had gone for the night 9:30-12:30 show. The con scenes left a lot to be desired practically all the cons are just projected in one song with absolutely no wit and humor.
The concept of the movie was pretty appealing but sadly the effect was completely diluted by average or mediocre screen play.
The second half of the movie again raised my expectations when the BIG B enters the foray but sadly I must say that though BIG B played his part well his role was poorly backed up by mediocre script, there was absolutely no witty humor and the movie just drags on.
I had never realised that plane robbery, conning people and escaping the police could be such a childs play until I watched this movie.
But there is a silver lining though, the movie unarguably belongs to RANI MUKHERJEE, she was simply outstanding in her performance and looked good too. ABHISHEKH BACHCHAN was good, though I prefered his performance in DHOOM and YUVA when compared to this.
Supporting cast did comprise of big names like ranjeet, raj babbar, prem chopra but they were reduced to mere models who act in a 2 mins advertisement that comes on TV. The climax too is abrupt and found wanting.
So I left the theatre pondering over the possible options that could have been tried over the weekend instead of watching this movie.
