...and they conned happily ever after!

He wants to be rich, she wants to be famous. Nobody in their one-horse village understands them so they run away and chase their dreams...

Rakesh (Abhishek) is sick and tired of the simple-mindedness of the people in his village. His dad’s the local ticket collector on the train who is proud of his job and would like to see Rakesh follow in his footsteps, which has zero chance of materializing since Rakesh has bigger dreams.

Vimmi (Rani) wants to be Miss India, but her parents want her to become Mrs. 10/10. They simply dismiss her ambitions as childishness.

After the last straw, both run away. Rakesh pitches his business idea to the wrong person while Vimmi is insulted by a Miss India wannabe bimbo. The two are destined to meet and finally team up after both suffer more disappointment (Rakesh discovers his idea has been plagiarized while Vimmi resists the sexual advances of a crooked pageant official).

They decide the only way they’re going to get what they want is to con their way to success...or at least until they reach Mumbai - the city of dreams. So they merrily con their way and they actually start to enjoy the conning as well as becoming minor celebrities that by the time they get to Mumbai, Bunty and Babli (as they are now known) decide to abandon the original dreams and follow their new dream - conning people. And what do you know - they fall in love in the process.

They continue conning blissfully unaware that someone is on their trail - DCP Dashrath Singh (Amitabh) and he’s hell bent on capturing them.

The rest of the movie is good conning fun. Oh, and Aishwarya has a cameo as a sort of exotic dancer in the overrated item number Kajre Re , which she performs with the two Bachchans.

Great acting by all especially the leads who have a gift for comedy and great soundtrack (love that hip-hop version of the title track with Big B!)
