Sir, I had an incident regarding the service tax we pay at restaurants.I had been to burger king restaurant, Cannaught Place New delhi at 12 o’clock.I ordered stuff for take away and saw that service tax was charged for it.I called the Manager and told him that I’m not Liablr to pay any service tax for take away orders to which He promptly replied that service tax is applicable on all Sorts of orders.I even showed him quite a few articals on internet but still even after seeing the articals he refused to agree saying that even other restaurant charge the same.He said He’ll get his Legal team to me on the phone for which I waited for around 10 min only to hear that the official is not picking up the phone.I paid the asked amount and collected the bill.
I sincerely request you to take very strict action against the resturant for cheating its Customers
