Buyhatke is a comparison tool which is useful for comapring the prices of a particular product across multiple shopping portals. It is an useful tool for finding the cheapest available price for a particular item. The comparisons work good for a majority of products, and they work best with popular products. Terms like "Samsung S6" or "Xperia Z5" give an overview of the prices across sites like FK, SD and others. However, it’s not perfect. The prices shown on buyhatke’s page doesn’t match the prices on the actual portal.
As an example, I searched for a particular watch on Buyhatke. The lowest price indicated was Rs.3315 on ebay.in, but when I visited the page, the price was Rs.3995. Buyhatke had listed the amazon price as Rs.3995 but it was 3795 on Amazon. The reason I had searched for the particular watch was I knew the prices beforehand. Ebay did have the watch available at Rs.3300, but the prices had changed three days ago - which means that the prices on Buyhatke are not updated real time. They are probably updated once or twice a week, so the best prices are not necessarily guaranteed.
Their chrome extension, on the other hand is a very useful tool providing historical prices and comparisions. Overall, a very good attempt at a useful tool, but needs lot of improvement and real time updates. Outdated data defeats the purpose of having a price comparision tool.
