1- BRAND- Always go fo that Brand, whose service center’s are available, if not all over the india then which covers most.
2- PROCESSOR- In my opinion today the best Procesor running is INTEL CORE 2 DUO OR AMD X2 DUO CORE. Anyways look out for the latest one because it cost slightly more than the cheaper ones.
3- CONFIGURATION-Always look out for high end RAM memory( better 1 GB Ram), dvd writer, wi-fi lan, card slot, bluetooth, grafics etc.
4- OS- There are many operating Systems nut go for either XP Professional or Windows Vista.( with Latest MS- Office version loaded in it)
5- ANTI VIRUS- do not forget to install Anti Virus in your laptop before moving out of the shop.
6- ACCESSORIES- last but not the least benefits which should be getting with the laptop. like Speakers, head phones etc.
7- MY LAPTOP-Acer 5050.
There are some Brands which are similar in configuartion, but the point is who is providing the better services.
