I used buytheprice to buy a tablet, just because it was a couple of hundred rupees cheaper. I am now repenting it, because it is not worth saving that for lack of professionalism compared to other e-commerce sites like flipkart.
The order processing had error, and the customer support number doesn’t work. Thankfully they responded back to the query on their site within the next day.The order was "fulfilled" two days later, and finally when it is time to reach, the courier guy says it is marked "cash on delivery", even though I paid by my credit card, and the order status on their website shows prepaid. The customer support number still doesn’t work. I am clueless as to what happens to my money :(
Finally, I used the Facebook page to report the issue, and the positive part is I got a call in a couple of hours. I was told that there was a confusion, and courier people are already informed, and I would get the item the next day. I got a call from courier next day in the morning.
Courier : Sir, you have a courier from buytheprice, You need to pay 6, 166
Me: It is not 6, 166. It is 6, 199 :)
Courier : Yes, ...
Me : But it is not COD, I was told that you were already informed about it. Can you check the details.
Courier : I will call back.
I now try the customer support number, which doesn’t work on weekdays. Surprise, it works now, but no one to pick it up. I post the same on Facebook. Got a call back in a hour saying they would work with courier to get it it resolved. Yes, I got a call back from courier company representative that it would be delivered on Monday (Well, its already 1 week+)
Now, it is Monday morning, and I still didn’t get anything. I call up courier(the same number from which I got call, probably it was a branch which is supposed to deliver). All lines are busy, so I called up support number of courier, Thankfully unline buytheprice numbers, they work, but a long wait of almost 20 mins, and I get through.
Now the person who answered started reading out from her terminal, exactly what I see in their tracking page. I told the story briefly, and she said, "let me put you on hold and talk to the branch"
She replies, I do not know, it is a COD.
Pissed off now, and as usual buytheprice number doesn’t connect from my mobile. It does from the landline though, but I am in office, and cant connect from mobile !!!
Great numbers, great service !!!
My mobile shows, I tried 22 times, the number of buytheprice. No luck even once.
