THE WORST DINING EXPERIENCE EVER! The Buzz in Punjabi Bagh is one of those restaurants that’s absolutely low in not just hospitality but also basic guest courtesy. And Not just that. THEY SERVE NON-VEG FOOD TO VEGETARIANS and then refuse to accept their mistake. It happened with us last night(June 22). 6 of us went with a child. It was a big mistake since the beginning. We gave up our table at Sura Vie because they committed that a table is available.
However, when we reached there 5 minutes later, the staff was clueless about making any such commitment. They offered us space on the dark terrace with no fans or coolers. After much ado, they did manage a table for us. Then we placed the order for a few drinks and some veg starters. 20 minutes later, we again had to call the manager Sanjeev to ask why has nothing reached our table - no even the bottle of wine, which needed no preparations. Then warm beer was served! After that, the momos were served. After having consumed 1, we got doubtful and discovered it was indeed NON-VEG! Immediately, we pointed it to the waiter, who simply shrugged it away and said "I will just get you the veg one"! We were shocked and asked for Sanjeev again. He came and said an apologetic’sorry’, with nothing in his eyes that may say he regrets it. He kept quiet while we expressed our shock at being made to consume non-veg against our will. Today, for any restaurant with a hint of hospitality would have gone down on their knees for such a huge mistake. YOU CANNOT SERVE NON-VEG FOOD TO VEGETARIANS. But, Buzz and its manager did not know how to compensate for this. We told them that they should make our meal free, and to our bigger shock the manager walks to us to negotiate that he will give food free but we should pay for alcohol. We gave up and said that we will walk out straight and PAY OUR ENTIRE BILL. However, we demanded a written apology from Sanjeev, to which he said: "Why should I apologise. I’m not sure if you were served Non-veg"! HE COMPLETELY BACKTRACKED. At this, we lost it and rose our voice. Hearing this another family stood up and declared that they have also been served non-veg pasta. and the waiters kept telling them that it was tofu! Is this what Buzz does with all vegetarians?
Considering 80% of all fine diners today are vegetarians, BUZZ is the haven for breaking your pledge against non-veg, because irrespective, they will feed you to meat. Their service is bad, they can’t handle a full-house, and then they serve you non-veg food and refuse to apologize for it. GO TO BUZZ AT YOUR OWN RISK IF YOU ARE A VEGETARIAN!
