Those of you who know me know I love to fish. Those of you who don’t know me, well I love to fish! I am all the time looking for new lures, rod and reels, bait, etc, whether it is from our local bait shop, Wal Mart or online.
Recently I placed an order at one of the best online stores in the world and I was completely satisfied with my order and the company. In fact, I have been getting their catalog for sometime now and decided to give the online store a try. This online store has so much to choose from and you can spend hours just looking around.
Cabelas
When you first sign on to this store you will see a very attractive page done in a white background with browns and greens. A homepage full of all sorts of choices to search and to just look around!
Across the very top you will find the usual links for Home, Store, Shopping Cart, Sign In, Register, Customer Service and About Us.
They also offer a search engine to search the store with and you can search by catalog number or by item name. This is really helpful when you have spent hours looking at the catalog and know just what you want!
Across the left hand side you will find links to just about every thing in the world for your fishing and hunting needs! They also offer “Store Extra’s” “In The Field” “Customer Service” “International” and “About Us” links. Each link will take you to a different page with a variety of choices to choose from for all of your needs.
On the right hand side of the home page they always offer “Featured Products”, and down the middle they always have a variety of interest, such as: “Inside Cabela’s”, Ask the Expert”, “Featured Articles” and “Feature Field Guides”.
And of course at the bottom you can find links where you can get a “Catalog”, Retail Stores and Outdoor Adventures”
Let’s Look Around
I wanted to look at fishing lures, so I typed in “lures” and was taken to the entire section of lures that they have available and there were over 60 to choose from! I was in fish heaven!!!
There were plastic lures and metal lures and Cabela lures and lure keepers. Lures with “Slab Tails” and “Rattlin Lures” “Pink and Yellow Lures” and the list just go on and on! I thought while I was there I would look at the rods and reels they had to offer. A little pricey for me, but some really neat ones!
And they offer the hunter all sorts of hunting items, which my husband liked a lot! Now he fishes as well, but he loves to hunt when he can. He has also spent hours at this online store. In fact, we fight over the catalogs!
There are items for your boats, your car, your truck, and your home. They have some really wonderful gift ideas and pictures for the wall! They have coffee mugs, coolers, clothing, shoes and boots as well.
They have over 130, 000 items to choose from! And one of the best gift ideas is the “Gift Certificates”. These are always good for Father’s Day, Christmas, Birthday and Mother’s Day! Shoot I would be happy with one for Valentine’s Day. You can choose from $5.00 up to $5, 000.00! Now if I had $5, 000.00 to spend I think I would put it towards bills, but if I had it to just throw away, then Cabela’s is one of the places I would go!

And while looking around the Customer Service area be sure to read about the s/h charges, they do vary depending on what you order in the amount that you order. However, large or heavy orders will cost more to ship.
How I Feel
Well like I said earlier, I really like this store. My goodness a girl can spend all day at this online store and never get bored! Well some of us girls anyway.
I like being able to shop at home and I like being able to shop via their catalog. And there are all sorts of wonderful gift ideas to choose from. If you can’t decide what to get the man in your life ladies, come here to Cabela’s and you may find something that you know he will love and use! That’s one of the great things for me, I know that what ever I buy from here will be used and not stored on a shelf somewhere around the house and in my way!
I like the fact that I can contact Customer Service in so many ways. Returning is made easy and the s/h is not bad at all. For up to $15.00, I spent $3.95 on s/h, which I didn’t think was bad at all. That was for 3-6 day delivery. I could have paid $9.95 for 2-3 day guarantee, but 3-6 days was good enough for me! And they do ship Internationally as well! There is a chart for International s/h information. These are US prices!
I like knowing that my information is safe and stored for my use whenever I need it! And the site load time was quick and easy. I had no problems figuring out how to get around nor did I have any problems with making my order and the order was in within a week, which is what I paid for.
I also like going to the “In The Field” link because there I can get fishing tips, hunting tips, Ask the Experts a question if I want too, read the Feature Articles and find out Trip information, all from one place! This was so cool and is each time we go to this online store. There are always different articles and tips!
Let me share with you something I did for my husband. He actually is the one who put me in touch with Cabela’s, so when the first catalog came in, I wrapped it up and gave it to him. He was puzzled because there was no special occasion, but when he unwrapped it, well he was like a little boy in a candy store! And so now he looks for the catalogs to come in, in fact he asks me all the time has another one came in. I just look at him and tell him to look at the old one because the new is not here yet! Which he does!
