I’ve loved this perfume since I first smelled it on a friend’s mother when I was a teen. She gave me a bottle for Christmas that year, and I was hooked.
Cachet is one of the few perfumes/colognes that smells the same on everyone who wears it. I’ve read a number of perfume reviews here where someone has bought a bottle of a perfume they liked on someone else, and it smelled horrible on them. I’ve never heard of anyone having that problem with Cachet. Prince Matchabelli is known for being a ’’cheap’’ brand of scent, and in the case of the other fragrances available, I’d agree. Cachet is an unexpected surprise. It has a light, but intense scent, similar to Giorgio. There’s a very slight oriental undertone, layered with a fresh floral scent. Cachet is a long lasting perfume, one spritz in the morning, and people will still be complimenting you that evening, but it’s not overpoweringly strong when you first put it on. If you’ve been steering clear of the ’’discount’’ cologne counter because of a fear of cheap scents, stiffen your backbone and give Cachet a try. You’ll be nicely surprised hat something so inexpensive can smell so good.
