Juxtaposition of Dry Fruits

Cadbury is everybody’s absolute favourite, I reckon. It has always come up with new and lovely ways to present chocolate to the world.

However, this particular product has not found much love from me.

The lovely flavour of Cadbury chocolates has been marred by a bad mix of mixed fruits, and raisins(most of them are elastic like a cold paratha, and hard). It could be a bit appealing to hardcore raisin lovers, but for normal chocolate lovers, it is a disaster I believe. The lovely memory of the taste of chocolate is played with in this product, i.e the whole known taste of chocolate is changed, and becomes very weird. If you’re an avid dry fruit lover from the core, you might still have a chance, but there is no guarantee about that!

However, I would also like to say that the idea was quite nice, but somehow the product came out not-so-desirable.

The cost of Cadbury is increasing day by day. I believe it might be due to decreasing amount of cocoa, and high demand, but I’m also sure that the high pricing has a good amount to do with the’brand-name’. Once upon a time not so far ago, a Rs.10 Cadbury was nearly the size of today’s Rs.25 Cadbury. So, if you’re still that very same individual, it’s definitely not a value for money for you. But, if you’re talking about the quality of the product, non-adulteration and stuff, then you can be rest assured. Although, if you’re expecting a big 12x2 bar in Rs. 25, which is quite a legitimate wish, you’re unfortunately in the wrong century. So, the value for money depends on the consumer, but all I can say is that it really has a smaller size than the least you could expect for the money you’re paying.

As for packaging, the aluminium foil that used to be present when I was still officially uneducated(not even class 8 pass) has been on a long vacation, and maybe even got eaten by a shark, so never coming back. Other than that, the plastic cover for the chocolate is good.

Overall, I would rate the chocolate 2.8/5, due to the more or less abundant presence of dry fruits unlike many products, and good packaging, and maintaining a more or less decent quality.
