Average Food

What can I say... I went to Cafe Royal a few weeks after

Clinton visited Bombay (remember when our streets were

actually cleaned.. at least the ones he travelled on) and

the food was absolutely phenomenal. However... recently

there has been a steady decline in the quality of food.

The last time I was there was about a week ago, and I

ordered a Paneer Shashlik. The Paneer was cold!! A sizzler

with cold food is unheard of. The staff, however was nice

enough to change the sizzler, not just reheat it which I

appreciated. However, the standard of food has fallen

drastically.

The place is definitely reasonable. Never had any drinks

there, only been there for the meals which are not too

expensive. The atmosphere requires some improvement and

the paintings on the wall are unique...

As to location of the restaurant, it is opposite

Regal Theatre, in Colaba, about a 5 minute ride from

Churchgate Station or CST Station.
