A big letdown from what used to be one of the best cake shops. I had been ordering caked from them for past 3 years now and they used to make best cakes in bangalore. All that is history now - their quality standards have dropped too much , the cakes are no longer eatable. Last 3 experiences have gone from bad to worse
I got a fresh fruit square from them - (which is round by the way as they do not have square baking dish anymore!! very strange for such a big shop). The fruits were not fresh and bread was soggy . Who puts sweet lime (mausambi) slices on cake !! and the quantity and variety of fruits used has gone down a lot since the last time I took the same cake
Got a strawbery cake for my father’s b’day - The cream tasted oily..
3 Worst experience - Just ordered a white forest cake last week for sister’s biday. The cake had to be thrown out ..the bread was soggy, the cream was greasy and had some strange oily kind of smell and the chocolate they put on cake was very bad . We were 9 people and couldn’t finish off a 1 kg cake! And the very next day a cake started smelling badly.
The cakes are not cheap by any standard, they charge 700/kg for fresh fruit & 600/kg for other. We expect good quality ingredients but that is now a big letdown. I am not ordering any cakes from cakewalk anymore and would suggest everyone to look for other alternatives
