This beach is most crowded beach in goa. Its easy accessible and lots of options to stay around and eat and drink. We visited in March. It was quite hot in the afternoon. So you can visit beach in the morning or in the evening and spend pleasant time. Lots options available for pure vegetarian visitors also.
You can rent vehicle from near by ( Rs.300-400and visit Aguda fort ( a scene shoot in Dil chahta hai) , sinqerium beach, dona paula ( a scene shoot in Singham) , Church of Lady of the Immaculate Conception ( from josh movie) in Panjim which takes around 35 mins from calangute. Local Bus facilities are also available in goa but are slow and takes time to reach places. There are Hop on Hop off ( HoHoGoa) buses available to have goa darshan. You can spend at least 3 relaxed days in goa without even goin for water sport activities.
