Calcutta Bistro is located near to Sukanta Setu near Sulekha more, just behind the petrol pump. This restaurant is memorable for me as I first visited this restaurant with my better half just after my 5 days of my marriage.
The restaurant was air conditioned with sophisticated interior, but the space is limited and you won’t find much empty space. So, with out A/C, the place is a bit suffocated.
Anyways, the dining table is awesome and the chairs are also comfortable to dine with. So, I was happy seeing the impressed attitude of the newly wed bride!
Anyways, we ordered straight cut dish. We started with my favorite chicken hot n sour soup, for main course we ordered fried rice, lemon chicken and chicken with cashew nut. Apart, on the insistence of our table waiter, I ordered the that day’s special menu - a prawn preparation.
All the items are tasty and sufficient was enough, but the special dish was very costly with so less amount, I did not enjoy the taste either.
Overall, it was a good dining experience but the prices are a bit higher, so you have to pay at least Rs. 30 extra for each item.
The waiters are really charming and professional, they will co operate with you.
I have visited this place only once, I am recommending it for only special occasions as the prices are higher for even normal dish.
