Though I had not heard very good comments on CMC, I did not find them so bad too.
I had a personal experience when I accompanied a friend of mine to their office where we were treated well & the work completed soon.
The need to check the conditions of the roads which become bad during the monsoons & need a large check on the traffic.
The major requirement I feel is needed is that, the Traffic signals stop for a long long time. Its like 7-8 minutes sometimes.
Anyways thanks to the Metro service that is no doubt the life line of Kolkata whithout which I feel the life would become standstill. Trams to add a lot to the uniqueness of the city.
