California was a great adventure. My husband had a business trip where he was to work in three different locations. Our adventured started by flying to California and picking up a rental car.
First we visited the Pismo Beach area and stayed at a Quality suite in a two room suite. Very luxurious accomodations. There was a beautiful garden, pool and library at the hotel.
Next we were driving to San Francisco but made a one day stop at St. Simeon to tour the Hearst Castle. That was wonderful!
Next we went to San Francisco for the weekend. We took a tour of Alcatraz using their taped tour with headphones. What an adventure! It was as though the prisoners were still there during the entire tour! We rode the streetcar which is a must do when in San Francisco! Pier 31 is where we spent the weekend making it well worth the trip with all the restaurants, shops and museums to visit.
Next we visited Napa Valley. If you want to visit wine country this is it! There is a huge amount of wineries in this area. If you like wine, you’ll love Napa Valley.
Last of all, we visited Livermore and the windmills! There are many many windmills on the hillside and what a view!
