LAKE TAHOE- A TRUE RECREATION SPOT!
Driving thru the windy and curvy roads , you finally get a breath taking view of this amazingly beautiful lake ! it was defintely a feast to my eyes!
Its doesnt come as a wonder to me any longer , when I hear people talk about Lake Tahoe as an exquisite hill station! I have never seen a hill station which can offer lots of adventure activities in so many variety of ways ! After you leave this spot , you will have to say to yourself ’’ So many things , so little time ’’
At First the thought of having a lake at a really huge level such as 6225 ft kind of made me ponder , how did it come about??? Well I got an interesting answer!
It seems that Lake Tahoe was formed by Geologic Faulting about 2-3 million years ago! It was later shaped and landscaped during the Ice Age. It is said to be the 10th deepest lake in the world with average depth of about 1000 ft! And guess what ? it is also the cleanest lake in the world ! But after I dropped my scarf in the water , while cruisin on the sail boat, I am not sure how clean Lake Tahoe is of today!
Thats about the historical context and facts When it comes to what one can do at Lake Tahoe ! Believe me , the list is endless.... If u like water sports , lake tahoe is the place is the place to be. You could go para-sailing , watersikiing , kayaking , jet skiing , canoeing , wind surfing and numerous of other water adventures to be taken on.
If you like hiking , skiing , snow-boarding , fishing , biking , rafting , golfing or even gambling Lake Tahoe has it all ! As soon as you cross california and step into Nevada , you have definitely entered Maya Nagri , in order words , dazzling casinos pop out of the ground , waiting to get your money ! or in some cases give you money! which never happened to me thou !
I would say the best time to visit Lake Tahoe , would be during summer months , ie between April to September. It neither too hot or too cold , but if you like snow activities , then any time in winter would be a cool time for ya! Lake tahoe Is surrounded by mountains that are all frozen in snow during winter ! it makes a great spot for skiing.
Lake Tahoe is my fav vacation spot ! One can loose oneself in its peaceful surroundings! No wonder its called Heavenly ....
