Public Awareness: A big fraud

WARNING: Even if you find this review not useful, PLEASE DO NOT USE CALL EZEE Services!

Please be informed that the situation I was in was due to my own foolishness. Am helping my family in a business which requires one to advertise and reach out to people in various forums to generate leads. In one such lead generation exercise I had given my details to be contacted. That’s when the story started.

A Sales executive named SX tried to make contact which I readily accepted hoping to explore the potential. Met up with this person to understand the scheme. After 30 mins, he made me talk to some of his regional managers, product managers etc and made me comfortable with the system. The system is essentially of spamming through emails and sms to their registered users claiming a tie-up with YAHOO and AIRTEL. Was really perked up sensing amazing user potential.

He offered me a package of 1 lac smses and an equal number in mails for a price of INR 8000. I bargained hard, beginning to feel that am closer to a deal of a lifetime(Am foolish, agreed) He also offered me money back if not completely satisfied. Finally agreed on INR 5000 for the package. I gleefully handed him INR 1000 to start the mailers and smses with subsequent payment after the first blast. The piece of paper called the contract was handed over to me, which I am ashamed to say was just that, a piece of paper.

After having traded the said contract for a 1000 Rupee note I followed up to start a blast. First they said there was a system problem(As if they had a system) and then they said that I should pay up in full as it was a discounted package. In addition there would be no money back. This far was fine as I was looking to utilize it and trusted that they do have a system. Alas!

Another executive called FX visited me to complete the transaction and take the rest of INR 4000(A fool and his money are soon parted) with a promise to start the sms/email blast. After 2 days when I followed up for the action, the team kept me on phone for about 1 hour before confirming that the mailers/sms would be sent in half an hour. With frustration and a resignated feeling I waited for the mailer/sms. I couldn’t have done anything else.

2 days too long and then again followed up. The executive on phone confirmed that the action has been completed a day before. Imagine 10, 000 emails and 10, 000 sms and NOT A SINGLE RESPONSE! Just throwing paper on road one hundredth of that number would give me at least 2 calls. Frustrated I tried to get into escalation mode. There were none. They were the bosses and they were the fraudsters.

Have avoided names being taken as some of these people I spoke to realized the fraud and have already quit and joined other companies. There is no use following these people who have been unwittingly netted. I just wish that other people are not conned as a result of such malpractices. It’s also a matter of tainted careers for these people. Plus the emotional agony of hearing our frustrations.

Subsequent mails/sms/calls has had NO EFFECT and therefore I had to sadly record my dear INR 5000 as NPA. A reminder of my foolishness and lack of enough groundwork.

This piece of immense knowledge is cosponsored by CALL EZEE with their spurious ways and yours truly’s amazing ineptitude.
