I have been using the free Internet connection from caltiger since 5 months. I have to tell you, I am extremely satisfied with the Internet services. I usually get connect speeds of 42-49.3 kbps at off peak times and very rare disconnections. All you have to do is to register at their site and download their customized ’’Dialer-cum-Ad bar’’ which occupies a part of your desktop and resides as an icon in your system tray too. After you register you are provided with a free POP3 e-mail account like.... <yourname>@caltiger.com, which is easy and short enough to recall. Caltiger has never stormed my POP3 account with junk mail, So I am very pleased to use its account.
Installing and Setting up the dialer was pretty straightforward. Once you have input your username and password on the caltiger dialer and asked it to save the data and connect automatically, from the next time you can get to the cyberspace in one click to the shortcut on the desktop. Even at peak hours I could connect to the server in one attempt. Although I admit that at peak hours sometimes its very difficult to get decent browsing experience and Iam not sure of its help desk too.
Overall I would rate this ISP as one of the best in Calcutta only as Iam not aware of the quality of service in other regions.
