Honest Review

I’ve been studying at Cambridge for around 11 years now, and this is my final year here. I am a 10th grader who’s been here for a while and knows a decent bit about the school.

If you want your children to be a bookworm and study a lot, then admit them here right away without thinking twice. This school stresses on academics more than anything. The teaching staff are pretty good at their job and most teachers are kind and caring. But of course, there always 2 sides to a coin, so some teachers are very strict. But in case you’re worried, there is no sign of physical abuse. All teaching staff and most non teaching staff are females. The only Male staff are in the Administration and the Music department.

There aren’t many extra-curricular activities, and sports is not given much importance. The school doesn’t have a ground adjacent to it like most other schools but has a ground at a distance of about 300 metres. The sports staff are pretty average. It does have a Swimming Pool with good swimming teachers though.

The school also has some kind of events every year. These includes Science Fests like T.H.I.N.K, the Frozen based skit, and the Annual Sports Fests. It also takes it’s students to field trips almost every year. The destinations are usually some good quality resorts. The students also have periodic visits to different science related places like the ISRO HQ in Bangalore and Planetariums.

The school’s administration, is all but good. The principal thinks of herself as some kind of delinquent, the finance and the transport officials barely do their work. It’s almost as if they’re paid for nothing. The chairman of the school is barely seen. He only appears in events like Independence Day and Christmas. The Van Drivers are pretty well behaved(at least that was the case for me) and every van has a female handler for the students. The music teacher also seems to be a bit of a pedophile or a pervert. He always chooses the girls over the guys in everything. That is also one thing to be careful of.

The Fee Structure is too high in my opinion because they take around 1 Lakh 20 Thousand(Tuition+ Transport+ A hundred other things) just as the base fee. If you’re newly admitting a student, then it’ll cost more. Plus the Uniform and Books cost a lot.

The school follows the ICSE pattern and is adding a ISC board for 11th and 12th starting this year as well.

Overall, this school has it’s own pros and cons, but none of them outweigh each other. Whether you like the school or not, depends on the kind of School Life you want for your child. If you wanted your child to study well, then this school is very good, but as mentioned above, there is almost no sporting activities, But I hope this changes with the new partnership with Euroschool they have. Only time can tell us, where this school goes.
