I am back again with a new problem dealing with Canara Bank ATM. An instance where my account balance, ledger balance is up-to-date but NEGATIVE BALANCE displayed on an ATM
machine. Personally, I am depended on ATM because I have to travel 50 kms one way to the branch in
Infantry Road for any transaction. I am struck with this kind of service from the bank.
This happened to me last week when my salary was credited into my savings account in Infantry Road Branch. I was able to withdraw some cash via cheque in the branch and update my passbook but this was not reflective on ATM machines across Bangalore for over a week. I contacted the branch manager and executives of the bank, who assured me that the
transactions will be updated by next day evening when it is still pending after 6 days.
Imagine my passbook has a balance but the ATM declines any transaction with a huge negative
balance. The latest is that when I called the branch today, one of the manager said he is not aware
how the ATM system works but he gave me an helpline number for ATMs (18004256000), which
does not exist or invalid.
RBI are you reading ??? I dont understand what is Canara Bank upto or is that my problem so unique all for myself. I feel Canara Bank has to undergo a deep level overhaul in their technology division to render satisfying service to the customer. I read this sentence in one of their branches "CUSTOMER IS THE KING" with a background of a
LION; now wonder if the LION is in the clutches of the BANK.
