I bought my first digicam one week back after a lot of searching and net surfing for reviews, performance specs etc. I always knew it had to be a Canon camera since they are number one in cameras. You can never go worng with a canon camera. So it was only a decison of which camera model of canon to go for.
Now the A570IS in poised at a very attractive and pleasing level. I mean I got mine for 13, 500 with 2 yr warranty, 2 MB card, and orig canon case from a retailer.
The features and reviews on this camera are fabulous on any site you check. Its like a dreamer wish come true. I did have a tussle over deciding for the A720IS(x6 zoom) but looked at the extra money involved part for x2 zoom extra and said .first camera is ok x4 zoom. The A 710 has the Digic II processor whereas both the A570 and the A720 have the Digic III.
You need to get rechargeable AA batteries also since AA duracells that it uses(another plus point) only give approx 50 shots with flash.
Havent tried out any outdoor tricks etc as yet but yes auto mode gave good pics. the stitch feature came as a novelty. All in all I am excited about my new toy and dont think I ll be dissapointed at my first digicam being a canon A570IS.
