I had been looking for a good digital camera for long. Surfed the net , read reviews and finally landed my choice on Canon A- 1000 IS, and was fortunate enough, to have selected a very good camera.
Regarding features, you can view details on canon.co.in. What I like most is, that it is a real value for money.It takes really very sharp pictures, even in complete darkness. The ISO setting is sufficient. The video at 30 FPS is good , but not the type you expect from a video camera. Screen size is sufficient. At 10 MP you will really love the Pics taken by you. Settings are at your thumb, you can easily operate it to desired levels. Image stablizer, face detection are really worth. Different shooting modes are also captivating. Close ups are overwhelming.
Don’t go by my review simply because I have recommended it , go on the net and search for pics taken by this camera , and u will definitely find the pics and can decide accordingly to the level of your choice. Ones choice for a digital camera is very important , because that alone will decide the type of camera you want. Further, you also need to know the basics of camera/photography to understand any review. The concept of megapixels, optical zoom, digital zoom, frames per seconds, exposure are all to be understood, first before being impressed by any review, because what is excellent for me may be a normal thing for a professional. In short, I think this camera is sufficient for all my domestic (in-house/outdoors)needs. Now, I don’t go to studio for passport size photographs for myself or my dear ones.
Also, you need to have computer at home to see the photographs, as the photographs are best viewed in computer only and not on screen of camera.
