It was Diwali and I was thinkingof gifting my self ;-) something very good this year. I was pondering over buying a DSLR from a very long time. And after doing lot of research over the net and talking with my friends and YES checking my saving account, I bought this baby just a day before diwali(to be precise 4th Nov 2010). Since it was a festival season there was lot of offers going on in stores.
I checked for the price of camera in GK Vale which happens to be a very reputed stop in Bangalore. GK Vale was offering the camera for 34, 195Rs/- which included Camera Body, 18-55mm IS lens+ Benetton Watch+i-mobile phone(which looked a chinese made phone)+100 photograph development. Lookin at the offer’s I almost zeroed in for GK Vale, then a friend of mine who happened to be a Pro photographer suggested me Jayesh Mehta. Jayesh happens to be one of the most talked person in camera and accessories supplier people in Bangalore.
When I enquired with him he quoted 32, 850 Rs/- cash and 32, 850+2% if using card. After a brief bargain sesson he setteled for 32, 850+1%. which came upto roughly 33, 100Rs /- + Benetton watch. The guy in the shop opened up sealed box and quiclky assembled the camera and took a snap of Lord Ganesha picture placed in the shop( India sentiments which most of us do and gives us a sense of protection).
After getting the camera home I took the camera and started clicking pictures keeping the settinng in AUTO mode. The moment I saw the pic I saw stunned looking at the clarity of the snaps. Since I being a beginner, I ha never imagined that I could click such good pic(though all the credit goes to the camera hehehe). After taking the snaps till I got satisfied, then I registered my camera in Canonedge website. I was told that the time of buying the camera that after registering the camera at the website Canon will dispatch Camera bag which would take 3-4 weeks time. Hopeing to get the bag soon so that I can keep the camera very much safe. I the site I have also registered for photography classes which is free( for people who have bought Canon Camera) and is conducted by Canon India across the major cities in India everymonth.
I have started going through the manual supplied with the camera and trying to click snapo in various modes available. Belive me the picture come out really relly well.They are crisp and clear.
You also have a Live view mode also available to assist you during the shoot.
