The cannon Eos 1000D’s EFS 18-55 mm f/3.5-5.6 is kit lens offers image stabilisation, which allowx you to take sharp photos at slower shutter speeds than other digital cameras . to test this, I took 2 handheld shot of same subject with same setting. the first shot was taken with image stablisation truned off the second with it turned on . the image are much sharper than with anti-shake turned off . this feature and could mean capturing a seccusfull, sharp shot or missing the oppertunity altogether.
