First…if you are looking for a good Picture Quality, Flexibility with many Features, Elegant Design, and have a moderate budget then you have come to the right place. Lightweight, Super image quality, and Long range of features are just some of the positives which characterize this masterpieces.

If you are a starter or novice, snapping occasionally for family purpose or for ordinary purpose then this may not be a camera for you simply because it makes no point in spending $ 350 if you aren’t going to utilize all features. Or I would rephrase my suggestion by saying that if you are serious enough about photography then don’t give a second thought. I have used it nature and unconventional photography and the results are fantastic. My photographer cousin in Pune owns bunch of such cameras. In fact I learn about aspects of photography from him only. He lets me have snaps with his camera whenever he is not busy doing his job. Other than Canon I have also used Nikon and Pentex. They are good at there own place but A Camera has its own specialties, uniqueness to differentiate it from others. My interest in photography stems from my like for nature and its beauty. Like my Cousin I have my own album of collection of Photographs in which I have marked the name of the camera and specifications with which the photo was taken. Though my collection nowhere near in quality and artistic beauty in professional terms but occasionally when I go through it gives me a kind of satisfaction, which I don’t get in anything else.

Canon EOS 30 is a single lens reflex camera equipped with lot features including Auto Focus, Auto Exposure, Film Speed Control, Film Moving Modes, Auto Film Winding, Red Eye effect Reduction, Shutter Speed Selection, Aperture Control, built in Flash, Remote Control and many more. These are just some of the features I have mentioned; apart from that it is lightweight, elegant in look with cool black body, has a timer many more minor but important features. It is for Amateur Photographers who want to be Professional Photographers. I had learned many things in photography. I had the theoretical knowledge but didn’t know the practical implementation or results of those until I used the camera efficiently with the help of my brother.

Autofocus Mode (AF mode)

In Autofocussing mode, focusing is done automatically to match the picture-taking mode. Shutter is not released even after releasing the clicking button, until desired focusing is achieved. I like to adjust the focusing myself, but for normal photos autofocusing is very convenient. For stationary objects and backgrounds Autofocusing setting locks the picture in the frame if the camera is not moved. Once the focusing is done the photograph is taken by clicking the button.. In case of failure of AF function focusing ring can be adjusted to achieve focus. Similar to Canon EOS 300 it has user selectable 7-point focus.

With 7 point focus, Eye Control, Multiple Exposure, viewfinder the photography is just sensational. You can set your own aperture priority auto exposure, shutter speed etc. and get the hold of the situation.

Auto Exposure

Time for which camera film is exposed to the external light is the exposure time. The shutter speed is decides the exposure time. If you aren’t familiar with this then use the default or normal settings or use the Auto Exposure setting. Different types of photography require different exposure times. The camera senses the available light and decides the amount of exposure is needed. For moving object when we use the normal setting the pictures are blurred because the exposure time is very large. We need to set hign shutter speed for catching an action. Thus Focusing and Exposure are sort of inter-related. For low light it becomes difficult for camera to focus, so you need to manually do it. Shutter speed ranges are from as high as 1/2000 sec to low of 30 sec for dim light conditions.

Metering

This one has a amazing metering system. Called ’AIM’-Advanced Integrated Multipoint control by canon when combined with the focusing system gives option of evaluating metering which is in relation with the focusing, Meaning after the focusing metering is done so that the concerned picture remains properly exposed. Rest of the specifications are similar to Canon EOS 300.

Flash

This Built in pop up Flash range is 1 to 5 meter based on film. Attaching a external powerful light disables built in flash. Flash output is controlled depending on the requirement. Flash covers 28 mm lenses. The sync speed depends on the exposure setting. Maximum flashing speed is 1/90 sec. Do not try to stare at the flash at this speed you won’t be able to stare at anything for few minutes.

Other

In fully Automatic mode camera shaking warning helps prevent blurring of images. Automatic roll rewinding is a convenience. But if you want to take pictures like shades of eclipse on one film then you need a mid film rewind provided in camera. Magnification is 0.7 times with 50 mm. Lens is 35 mm.
