Canon EOS 1000D is a new entry of the DSLR camera series of Canon cameras with EOS camera system.
As EOS 1000D is latest in the series but has a 10.1 Megapixel camera mess then from the earlier 400D and 450D so the picture quality is not as good as the earlier models.
This model is too expensive for a normal buyers thats why Canon is loosing the customer market to other reputed brandslike Nikkon or Sony.

This model is lightweight and fast in operations, the shutter speed is good and I must say that this is good camera but as it is very expensive I found no value for money.
