Initially I was using an old canon power shot model; recently got the new IXUS 275HS and this is the update to earlier 265HS.and features a **20 megapixel BSI CMOS sensor, an update over the 16 megapixel sensor in the 265, and features a 12x optical zoom lens, image stabilization and built in Wi-Fi and NFC** .
Its an **ultra slim and very compact** model and thinner edges to hold; this might make **slippery** in handling but looks is above all this, just get a strap to get over it.
Built in **NFc** enables to connect to your device app to control it further.
In good light, **auto focusing** speeds are pretty rapid, dropping a little when the **light is lower.*
*Battery life** is rated at 185 shots according to Canon but I take 250 shots in **Eco mode** easily. But I would recommend a spare battery if you want to shoot more.
*Navigation** is easy as well as wifi connectivity to social networks also.
*Performance** is very good as well as the effects and color reproductions are very accurate.
*Cons*
Less batery life without eco mode
No auto HDR mode
Noise in images
This camera is built for **casual photography** with lots of granular settings and definitely **worth your money.*
Other brand cameras worth comparing are **Sony Cyber-shot WX220,
Nikon Coolpix S7000, Panasonic Lumix SZ10*
Am a satisfied customer as I do some casual photography even and it is best for me to carry where ever I go and best in the budget.
