My brother gifted me a Canon Powershot A 520 in Jan 2006. The model is sleek and attractive....
I handled an earlier model, which was some what bulky.
Here are a few observations:
Most of the digicams in this category produce satisfactory results...ive tried kodak and sony...they are also as good..
Canon makes good cameras..this camera in particular is easSy to use, and produces good result.
The picture quality is the best when shooting in sunlight......It is better than quite a few brands
the model seems to have the following problems: a. the red eye reduction is not very satisfactory sometimes (this feature is rarely needed)....b. the shutter has to be manually opened sometimes..it does not open after youve switched the camera on. c images at iso 400, shot in the dark, have high noise
all in all...........this is a good piece, with very few problems and good value for money..the BATTERY LIFE IS VERY GOOD. THE MODEL NEEDS ONLY TWO CELLS, AS AGAINST 4 NEEDED BY SOME MODELS.
