Where the mountain meets the ocean

I would love for this review to be throughly detailed enough for anyone who would like to go to CApetown to just print out my review and plan their whole trip on. Sadly I cannot do so because all the rates I can give will only be in Ringgit :)

I can however tell you about my amazing, mind blowing experience there.

I went with twelve of my dearest and closest friends and we spent one week in Stellenbosch and one week in Cape Town itself. Capetown is a land where mother earth and father sky is at their best, mountains framing the coastlines. The deep blue sea, the fluffy white clouds that clings to the mountain tops as though they never want to leave this heaven on earth.

Go climb the famous table mountain, and literally dangle off the cliff to get a superb eagle eye’s view of the whole city and its coastline. Taking the cable car up would only take three minutes.

I hiked up Table Mountain!! , not even my good friend, who is a local there, can say that.

The hike can be done, just make sure you wear comfortable shoes and bring lots of water. Heck I climbed it in jeans and carried a handbag. It took me and my brothers three hours to get up there but get up there we did.

In fact, when we were resting halfway through, we looked up and saw the clouds just streaming down the gulley, like a mythical waterfall.

Had I died on my way up, I would have died a happy woman.

Take a roadtrip to Cape Point and enjoy the magnificent view from the southern most tip of the continent. Because of the meeting of the cold water from the Atlantic and the warm waters of the Indian Ocean, Cape Point is always shrouded in mist.

The only thing you need to watch out for at Cape point are the baboons who calls that place home. I’ll tell you this, they’re fierce creature and d**m big buggers.

Do not offer them food unless you want your hand ripped off.

go to boulder beach and take a swim with the pengiuns. There’s hords of them there and yes you can actually swim with them.

Stellenbosch vineyards are a sight to see. in fact, you eat so much grapes there you’d probably wonder if they’ll affect you in any way. There’s also the cheetah reserve there that’s worth a go. You can pet these gorgeous creatures, (under supervision of course) and you can watch the flying show by the falcons and hawks there.

In fact, you can met Wally, the eagle that starred in Jamiroqiou’s video.

One thing I realised there were always shooting stars at night, something which you can never see in Malaysia. In fact, during the New Year’s party that my friends and I attended, we were privileged to witness a shooting star shower. Needless to say, it was a sight I would ever unlikely forget.

The beaches in cape town deserve special mentioning. oooh the ocean was cold but heck, my friends plunged in anyway for the novelty of being able to say that they bathed in the indian and atlantic ocean. :)

You go there and you realise all those small seaside, summer house towns you hear about in stories actually exist.

As for food, the fish and chips there were wicked awesome. I just never got tired of it and I had it almost everyday. Halal food for Muslims are not a problem either.

The Malay food was passsably good (bias judgement from a Malaysian Malay. we can talk about Malaysian Malay food some other time (’’, ) ).

Any of you interested to view the snaps we had there, don’t hesitate to msg me and I will love to share them with you.

My brother said this while we were climbing up Table Mountain and took a stop to enjoy the view,

’’If anybody asked me how was Cape Town, I’d probably just say it was nice, because this heaven can hardly be described in words. Even if I tell them about it... I won’t be able to share this feeling, this wonder The most that they’ll be able to say is ... that’s nice’’

How true..........
