I joined Capgemini India as fresher and worked there for 4 years. With my experience I would not advise any fresher to start their career with Capgemini.
Their salary structure and hike policy are not good and not in synch with market. For getting a 4 lakh package you need to work for 4 years. Its a hectic work culture. They will expect you to work 12 hrs in day. Promotions are less. Only after 5 years u will get promotional hike(in very few cases it will happen after 4 years). Mean while in 5 ears u get only a ’performance hike’. Onsite opportunities very less for freshers. After working for 4-5 years with this package, only few associates gets onsite. And they go onsite 2 to 3 times and juniors in the team will struggle due to this.
One more problem is the notice period which is 3 months. Due to this one can not move out of this organization very easily. Also they have many mainframe projects which is an old technology.
As per my experience and observation, I would suggest freshers to avoid this company if they have other options.
