FSGBU - Not capgemini, beware of joining them

If you are planning to Join FSGBU, then please check the project pipleline.

I have 9 plus years of relevant experience and joined them as Lead Consultant. On day one, I was told that I have joined them at a very good time and this is the best company in the whole world.

Fast forward to 4 months later. I am still on bench, waiting to be allocated. They don’t have any project for 9 plus years experience.  I left 2 different offers for capgemini.  They try to push people in production support projects and blame you for not getting allocated, if you say no to their demands. The senior managers push those who knows how to brown-nose them. Senior manager favorites are the ones who like say yes to them.

I have met many people who have been on bench for 8 months plus. These are experienced folks and not the freshers. The staffing team are dummies of the managers and have no clue how project runs. They will say as per the manager and the internal job posting is a joke. IJP or internal job posting are their for the whole world to apply but again the managers decides who can go ahead for such jobs.

Relocation policies are another pain. They don’t pay for taxies/cabs. I am not really sure, if someone comes to a new city, how will he/she go from airport to the hotel. Good luck getting the relocation amount reimbursed. It took me 2 months to get it reimbursed, after numerous escalation.

FSGBU is not capgemini. They are kanbay, acquired by capgemini. If you don’t know someone senior manager in kanbay, don’t join them. You will be left to rot in the hell.
